The Judicial Service Commission has taken steps to transfer 54 magistrates and district judges.
The commission says that these transfers, which will be effective from January 1, 2024, have been made under the annual transfer procedure.
Accordingly, the district judges of Kaduwela, Poogoda, Monaragala, Marawila, Kalutara, Matale, Elpitiya, Puttalam, Kilinochchi and Anuradhapura have been relocated under the annual transfer system.
Meanwhile, the Judicial Service Commission says that the Magistrates of Homagama, Negombo, Bandarawela, Nuwara Eliya, Batticaloa, Kegalle, Elpitiya, Balapitiya, Medawachchiya, Nochchiigama, Naula, Anamaduwa, Agunukolapalassa and Kahtagasdigiliya have also received transfers.
