The Court of Appeal has today (15) ordered to extend the retirement age of government-employed specialist doctors to 63 years.
It was by ruling on a writ petition filed by a group of specialist doctors in government service challenging the government’s decision to retire at the age of 60.
The decision was given by the bench of Judges President of the Court of Appeal, Nishanka Bandula Karunaratne and A. Marikkar.
