Yesterday evening (Dec. 08) a soil mound collapsed on the Hill Country railway line.
The railway department said that the embankment collapsed between Haliela and Uduwara railway stations.
Due to this, there has been a delay in the train running from Badulla to Colombo.
The department further stated that the railway workers are working to clear the tracks to restore the broken tracks on the upland line.
