The State Commercial Miscellaneous Statutory Corporation says that the first part of the Samba rice stock to be imported from India will be received within the next fortnight.
The cabinet had recently approved the import of 50,000 metric tons of Samba rice.
Mr. Asiri Walisundara, Chairman of the State Commercial Miscellaneous Statutory Corporation stated that the rice will be imported according to the approval.
