Pastor Jerome Fernando has been remanded until the 13th.
That is according to an order made by the Colombo Fort Magistrate Court.
He was arrested today by the Criminal Investigation Department based on a complaint received against the pastor who was accused of making insulting statements against Lord Buddha, Islam and Hinduism while conducting religious services.
That was when he went to the Secret Police for the second day today to give a statement in accordance with a previously issued court order after his recent arrival in Sri Lanka.
He was also interrogated for 8 hours yesterday.
