Sri Lanka has become the first country in South Asia to receive the Pfizer vaccine to control the Covid epidemic.
“Through this good news this morning, I am proud of the work being done by my government to ensure that all Sri Lankans are vaccinated.” Says President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.
At present, the anti-Covid vaccination program is being implemented throughout Sri Lanka.
The first consignment of 26,000 Pfizer injections arrived in Sri Lanka this morning.
It is a stock of vaccines purchased by the State Pharmaceutical Corporation.
