Minister of State for Finance Ranjith Siyambalapitiya says that a decision will be taken after receiving the recommendations of the committee appointed by the President’s Office regarding the possibility of importing vehicles.
He told the media that he could not announce a specific date on which the import of vehicles would be allowed as it would affect the country’s vehicle market.
“If a date is announced, there will be a big change in the prices of the local vehicle market,” said the state minister.
