Due to a stone falling on the Balangoda – Velioya main road near Navaneliya School early this morning, traffic on that road has been disrupted.
Kalthota Police say that within a few hours, one lane of the road was prepared in such a way that only light vehicles could travel.
Accordingly, heavy vehicles are not able to drive on this road and the police request the drivers to use alternative routes for that.
Police say that heavy vehicles traveling from Velioya towards Balangoda can travel via Kalthota, Diyavinna via Kapugala road, and heavy vehicles traveling from Balangoda towards Velioya can travel via Rajawaka via Kapugala, Diyavinna road.
