Yesterday, three students were injured in an explosion caused by a student stepping on an explosive substance called Hakkapatus, which is used for hunting animals, found in the grounds of Kalaimagar Tamil College, Mavathura, Gampola.
The Gampola Police mentioned that the accident happened during school hours.
The police say that there were no serious injuries to the students and the three students were discharged from the Gampola hospital yesterday evening.
The police say that they are investigating who brought these explosives called Hakkapatas to the school grounds.
