The Sri Lanka Transport Board has assured commuters that despite a disruption in traffic caused by a collapsed mound on a section of the road between Pinnaduwa and Imaduwa on the Southern Expressway, bus services are operating smoothly.
According to Mr. Lalith De Alwis, Chairman of the Traffic Board, buses traveling from Colombo on the expressway will detour from the Pinnaduwa exit, follow the same route, and re-enter the expressway from Imaduwa, ensuring uninterrupted service. Buses arriving from Matara will take the Imaduwa exit and re-enter the expressway from Pinnaduwa to reach their destinations.
Despite the traffic disruption, the Sri Lanka Transport Board has maintained the regular travel schedules on the expressway, providing minimal inconvenience to passengers.
