Nurses in hospitals across the country are scheduled to go on strike tomorrow (01) and the day after tomorrow.
The strike will be based on several demands including increasing the transport and accident allowance to Rs. 15,000, amending the nursing constitution, increasing the uniform allowance and giving promotions every five years.
Members of the Public Service United Nurses Association, the Government Nurses Association and the All Ceylon Nurses Association will go on strike tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.
The nurses’ strike will begin at 7 am tomorrow and will end at 7 am on the 3rd.
