The 14-day ban on passengers arriving from six Middle Eastern countries will be lifted subjecting to a number of conditions.
Passengers from Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait were temporarily banned from July 1 to July 13 due to the Covid epidemic.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority, these conditions apply to passengers arriving from Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
But until July 31, the ban on travelers from Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe is still in effect.
These are the conditions imposed on passengers from Oman, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
- Antigen test reports are invalid.
- All passengers arriving in the country from those countries must have a PCR report to confirm that they are not infected and it must have obtained within 96 hours prior to departure. The airline should look into the matter before boarding the passenger plane.
- PCR report should be obtained from a government or approved institution and the relevant QR / Bar codes should be mentioned there.
- Passengers are permitted to arrive only for hotel quarantine or through the Sri Lanka Tourism Bio Bubble Route.
- The airline should be satisfied with the accuracy of the test reports submitted by the passenger.
