State Minister DV Chanaka’s wife’s father was shot dead.
When he was on his way home after closing his textile shop in Galle, two men on a motorcycle targeted the car he was travelling in and fired a T56 weapon.
Police say about fifteen shots were fired. The State Minister’s father in Law died on the spot.
The Galle Police say that the cause of the murder has not been clearly revealed and investigations are ongoing. The shooting took place on Lower Dickson Road in Galle.
