A team of medical experts has commenced a special investigation into the deaths of three members of the same family infected with corona, said Dr. Nihal Weerasuriya, Director, Central Provincial Health Services.
He said that a report will be submitted to the Director General of Health Services after the special investigation into the incident.
An elderly couple and their son who were living in the Iluktenna area in Kandy have died due to corona infection.
Following their deaths, the son’s wife and two young children, as well as a number of close relatives, are now being referred to corona treatment centers.
