The mystery of the dead body floating in a bag in Dadugama Oya was solved

On the 15th, Seeduwa police found a bag containing the body of a murdered person floating in Dadugama Oya. It is according to the information provided by the villagers that there is a strong smell coming from this bag.

As there were many marks of assault on the body, it appeared at first glance that it was a murder.

The Seeduwa police managed to find out whose dead body it was within 24 hours. According to that, a person named Susantha Ranjan Ranasinghe (36), a resident of Kuduwewa, Mahawewa, was killed.

When investigating about this person, it is revealed that he is a person who is scamming people by taking money from people by stating that he is sending them to work abroad. Accordingly, at the beginning of the investigation, the police began to suspect that this person may have been killed by someone or a group of people who were caught in his fraud.

Making it true, the Seeduwa police arrested all the suspects in this murder today (19).

After a long investigation, the number of suspects arrested by the police is 06. Seeduwa police say that among them are a restaurant-owning father, 2 of his two sons and three employees of the restaurant.

The police say that the murdered person had taken more than 20 lakh rupees to send the two sons of the restaurant owner to work in Japan and it had gone to the extent of killing him.

On the 11th, these people met the person who was killed while he is hiding from them. It was in Pettah. The police say that he was put in a car and taken to the coconut grove of the restaurant owner in Katana, beaten and strangled to death. Then the dead body was put in the suitcase, thrown in the Dadugama Oya and returned in the car. The dead body was dumped in the river from the Kotuguda area.

The arrested restaurant owner is 50 years old, and his two sons are 23 and 25 years old.

The rest of the suspects are residents of Polonnaruwa, Kandy and Puhulwella.
