The National Building Research Institute has taken steps to further warn 4 districts of the risk of landslides.
Accordingly, Kalutara, Kegalle, Ratnapura and Galle districts are at risk of landslides due to heavy rains.
This warning has been issued to the people of Matugama, Bulathsinghala, Ingiriya, Welallawita in Kalutara district and Deraniyagala, Bulathkohupitiya, Yatiyanthota, Dehiowita, Ruwanwella in Kegalle district.
The danger of landslides has also been warned in Aheliyagoda, Kuruvita, Ratnapura in Ratnapura district and Baddegama, Nagoda, Elpitiya in Galle district.
