The Director General of Health Services, Dr. Asela Gunawardena today (28) confirmed that 41 deaths had occurred due to the Covid 19 virus infection yesterday (27).
With that number of deaths, 2,985 Covid deaths have been confirmed to have occurred in the country so far.
Of the deaths confirmed yesterday, 17 were women and 24 were men.
