The Ceylon Electricity Board says that the second generator of the Lakwijaya power plant in Norochcholai, which was currently inactive, will be re-connected to the system today (15) at 8.00 pm.
That is after the completion of its repair work.
On the 8th of last year, the second generator of the Norochcholai coal plant suddenly broke down due to a technical fault.
Due to this, 270 megawatts were lost to the national power system.
