Education Minister Susil Premajayantha said that school textbooks will be printed in three parts, and only the part related to the term will be given.
The Minister of Education also said that this is being implemented as a measure to reduce the weight of the school bag and to keep the spine of the students straight and protect their physical health.
He said that the school textbooks will be given in the order of the first part in the first term, the second part in the second term, and the third part in the third term and the weight of the bag will be reduced.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Education also said that it has been decided to hold only one examination per year from 2024.
Accordingly, the minister mentioned that instead of three exams for the current three terms, only one exam will be held at the end of the year.
