Controller General of Immigration and Emigration U. V. Sarath Rupasiri said that the head office of the Department of Immigration and Emigration and the regional offices in Matara, Vavuniya, Kandy and Kurunegala have been opened.
He added that the offices only serve a limited number of clients.
The time allotted for applying for passports is from 9 am to 1 pm at those offices. Customers wishing to obtain services at the Battaramulla office, the head office of the Department of Immigration and Emigration, can call 0707101060 or 0707101070 and make an appointment, said Controller General of Immigration and Emigration Sarath Rupasiri.
