National People’s Power Member of Parliament Mr. Vijitha Herath has resigned from a parliamentary committee.
That is from the membership of the Special Committee for examining the causes of financial bankruptcy and reporting to the Parliament.
Addressing a letter to the Speaker, he has mentioned that it is not expected that a committee consisting of the majority of the people who caused the financial bankruptcy of the country will examine the real reasons related to it or make recommendations related to it.
He has mentioned that he will resign from the membership of the special committee as it is meaningless to represent such a committee in this situation.
