Indian news reports that Bharat Jain, the world’s richest beggar, can be seen begging on the streets of Mumbai.

A ‘beggar’ is a person facing poverty. People who face financial instability, wear worn-out shoes or no shoes, tattered clothes and have dirty, unkempt hair are often called beggars.

However, there are some people who have taken begging to a new dimension and turned it into a profitable profession.

According to a report in Economic Times, Bharat Jain is the richest beggar in the world. Even today he can be seen begging on the streets of Mumbai.

He is a married man living with a family including his wife, two sons, his brother and his father.

Initially Jain could not pursue formal education due to financial instability.

Although he was a beggar then due to his extreme poverty, he has now amassed a net worth of INR 7.5 crores.

His monthly earnings from begging range from INR 60,000 to 75,000.

Also, he owns a 2BHK flat in Mumbai worth INR 1.2 crore.

There are two shops in Thane that rent for INR 30,000 per month.

It is reported that Jains still beg in prominent public places, railway stations etc. in India.

Jain and his family live in a 1BHK duplex apartment in Parel.

His children have gone to a convent school and completed their education. Other members of his family run a stationery store.

They constantly advise Jain to stop begging. But he ignores their advice and continues the work of begging.
