A fake doctor who has been treating Sarikkammulla villagers for more than a year while running a famous medical center in Panadura Keselwatta Sarikkamulla area was arrested by the officers of the Central Anti-Corruption Squad in Panadura Walane.
This doctor is 30 years old. Various types of medicines worth over one crore rupees were also found in his medical centre. Among them, a prohibited drug used for abortion was also found. Among the drugs found were many expired drugs. The anti-corruption force states that he has even issued those medicines to the patients.
A medical center was previously run at this place by his uncle. It has also been revealed that the uncle is now dead. The anti-corruption force says that he is also famous among the people of Sarikammulla. The investigation revealed that he is also a fake doctor.
It has been found that this person has treated as a doctor using a registration number of a doctor who died some time ago.
He has even issued medical certificates from this place and anti-corruption force officers have observed that a large number of people come to get treatment from him every day.
A young woman who has no proper training or proper knowledge about medicines has been dispensing medicine at this medical center. She was also arrested here. She pretended to be a nurse.
