An opportunity to submit appeals for families who were not included in the Aswasuma subsidy program

Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena says that the time to submit appeals for families who were not included in the Aswasuma subsidy program has been given until July 10.

The Prime Minister, who attended the regional coordination committee meeting in Sithawaka, also said:

“Through this, the government expects to provide more subsidies than before. If there were families who were not included in this program and who deserve subsidies, they have now been given the opportunity to submit appeals to them. Their appeals can be given to the Samrudhi Development Officer or to the Divisional Secretariats. We will not allow the low income earners and the people who have suffered from various diseases to lose these subsidies.”

The Samurdhi Development Department says that Samurdhi beneficiaries will get benefits as scheduled during this month as well.

Its Director General Mr. Bandula Thilakasiri mentioned that the Aswasuma subsidy program was planned to be implemented from next month.

People who have lost the Samurdhi benefit through the Aswasuma subsidy program can submit appeals for it until July 10.

More information about it can be obtained through the hotline number 1924.The number can be called between 8 and 5 in the morning from Monday to Friday.
