Electricity and Energy Minister Mr. Kanchana Wijesekera has proposed to reduce the electricity bill by 27% for the people who use less than 90 units in the upcoming July electricity tariff revision.
He also said that it is planned to provide a special electricity tariff concession to the people in January 2024.
The minister also mentioned that they are currently working to provide the electricity subsidy in a way that is more noticeable.
