A woman who was walking to Kataragama for the Esala Perahera festival of Ruhunu-Kataragama Maha Devala was attacked and killed by a wild elephant in Yala Park.
An elephant attacked this woman yesterday (13) in the Ling Thuna area of Yala Park.
A 63-year-old woman, a resident of Eichchalampattu, Trincomalee, has died.
