Tharushi Karunaratne won a gold medal in the women’s 800m event held yesterday (05) in the 20th Under 20 Asian Junior Athletics Championship held in South Korea.
She accomplished this feat by completing her 800m in a time of 2 minutes 05 seconds (2.05.64).
Apart from this, Malith Yasiru won the bronze medal in the triple jump event held yesterday. The skill he showed there was 15.82 meters. Earlier, his personal best was 15.58 meters.
