Examination Commissioner General Mr. H.J.M.C. Amith Jayasundara said that the results of the GCE A-level examination will be released next August.
The evaluation of the answer sheets of the A/L 2022 examination is currently underway and the evaluation of the answer sheets of science subjects will begin in the middle of June.
The Commissioner General said that the advance allowance paid to the people involved in the evaluation activities has not been reduced and said that steps have been taken to give them an advance of Rs. 10,000.
Instead of the Rs. 5000 given in the earlier stage of evaluation of answer papers, steps have been taken to give Rs. 10,000 at the rate of Rs. 2000 per day for five days of evaluation of answer papers.
An allowance of Rs. 2000 will be paid if the examiner is coming from a distance of 80 km and Rs. 2900 if the distance that distance is more than 81 km.
The Cabinet has also approved payment of a combined allowance of Rs. 2000 per day to examiners.
