It was at Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport when she was trying to leave the country.
Last Saturday, the Criminal Investigation Department received a complaint regarding a woman who allegedly insulted Buddhism, Christianity and other religions during a recent comedy show.
The video containing the statements made by the woman named Natasha Edrisuriya was heavily criticized after it was released on the internet.
Later, the woman and the person who posted the video publicly apologized.
Despite the apology, many people strongly criticized the offensive language used during her remarks.
Meanwhile, pastor Jerome Fernando, who made insulting statements about religions, also apologized again yesterday.
