A herd of wild elephants chased and attacked a group of people who went to pick honey in front of Thalgaswewa Lake yesterday.
The police said that a 51-year-old resident of Andarawewa, Navagaththegama, was killed in the attack by the wild elephants.
The police say that 02 more people went to collect honey with this person, and they both survived the elephant attack.
