Ministry of Buddhasasana and Religious Affairs Mr. Vidura Wickramanayake says that a cabinet paper related to the implementation of the law for the registration of all religious centers and religious institutions operating in the country will be presented.
The minister says that the cabinet paper will be brought in the next two weeks.
The minister said that it is not mandatory to register religious centers in this country.
However, Minister Vidura Wickramanayake stated that the relevant decision will be taken as information has been received that fake religious centers are being run by various people.
The place called ‘Miracle Dome’, where Pastor Jerome Fernando held services, has also been declared to be such.
The Minister said that the Department of Christian Religious Affairs has informed him that the religious place in question has not been registered.

This is a dangerous precedent being created. How does anyone define a fake religious place.? Religion is what people believe and based on the constitution everyone has the right to believe what they want. Who has the authority to decide what is fake and what is not.
This whole JF message has been blown out of proportion giving him undue publicity. I am not his fan but we need to ha e perspective.
JF did not incite violence he did not ask his followers to attack anyone or anyother religious place. He was speaking to his own follower on the subject of love
JF has not stolen or used punlic money on the other hand MR and his cohort s ha e stolen and missused billions of public money. One his strutting around freely still using public money the is simpmy using moneyhis congregation has given him.
If we are to arrest JF then MR must be arrested too dont you think?
