Veteran actor Ghnananga Gunawardena has passed away yesterday (04) in the afternoon.
His remains will be laid to rest tomorrow and the day after (5th and 6th May) at the Jayarathne Funeral Hall in Borella for the public to pay respects.
The last rites are scheduled to be done at Borella Cemetery on Saturday 6th of May at 3.00 pm.
Mr. Ghnananga Gunawardena, who has acted in cinema, television and stage dramas for about half a century, became popular with films such as ‘Hevaneli Ada Minissu’, ‘Kulageya’, ‘Saptha Kanya’, ‘Seilama’, ‘Maruthaya’, ‘Tharanaya’, ‘Weesidela’, ‘Maharaja Ajasath’ etc.
