Samagi Jana Balawegaya decides to take disciplinary action against appointed Member of Parliament A.H.M. Fowzie.
The decision was taken due to voting in Parliament in favor of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) proposal yesterday (28).
General Secretary of Samagi Jana Balawegaya Mr. Ranjith Maddumabandara, says that MP A.H.M. Fowzie’s vote in favor of the IMF agreement is against the party’s decision.
Mr. A.H.M. Fowzie took the oath of office of the Member of Parliament, which was vacant due to the resignation of Mr. Mujibur Rahman of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya Party.
Mr. Mujibar Rahman recently resigned from his position as a Member of Parliament for the purpose of appearing for this year’s local government polls.
