Dr. Sudath Samaraweera, Director of the Epidemiology Unit has been appointed as the Director of the Dengue Control Unit.
Following the transfer, Dr. Samitha Ginige has been appointed as the Acting Director of the Epidemiology Unit.
The transfer comes amid a backlash from President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa yesterday over the failure to provide accurate data on covid’s deaths.
