The Police Headquarters is focusing on appointing police Media Spokesman Attorney-at-Law Ajith Rohana who has been promoted to the post of Senior DIG, as the Chief in charge of Crime and Organized Crime and Traffic Police.
Earlier it was planned to appoint Ranmal Kodikuwakku, who was promoted to the post of Senior DIG, to the post. According to the Police Headquarters, Ranmal Kodithuwakku will be appointed as the Sabaragamuwa or Uva Provincial Chief of Police and Ajith Rohana will be given charge of Crime and Organized Crime and Traffic.
Mr. Ajith Rohana continues to serve as the Police Media Spokesman.
Information from the Police Headquarters revealed that it was planned to give him this post because it’s essential that his work is based in Colombo.
