Today marks the fourth anniversary of the brutal terrorist attack that killed 269 people and injured more than 500 people, targeting churches and hotels in several places in Sri Lanka by 8 suicide bombers on Easter Sunday.
The Catholic Church has planned to create a people’s wall from Kochchikade St. Anthony’s shrine to Katuwapitiya St. Sebastian’s church today for the people who have not yet received justice from that attack.
A 2-minute silence was also observed at 8.45 am in memory of the people who died in the attack.
Accordingly, it is planned to create this public wall from people on the Colombo-Negombo highway from Kochchikade church to Katuwapitiya church from 8 am today.
