Thieves broke into the house of a constable working in the Mahawa district office of the State Intelligence Service and stole two lakhs of gold and two mobile phones along with the police ID issued to him.
According to Gokarella Police, the thieves entered the house of this officer, who is a resident of Malsiripura, through an upstairs window.
The theft took place in the early morning hours of the 17th.
Police ID was stolen along with Rs. 15,000 in the wallet.
