An Acting General Secretary has been appointed to the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.
The appointment was made by the party leader Maithripala Sirisena.
Former Central Province Chief Minister and Sri Lanka Freedom Party Deputy Secretary General Sarath Ekanayake has been appointed as the Acting Secretary General of the party.
Mr. Dayasiri Jayasekara, Member of Parliament, who served as Secretary General of SLFP, is currently abroad.
