The National Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force has expressed its agreement to include the biometric information of Sri Lankan workers.

It was in the discussion held recently (01) at the Ministry of Labor and Foreign Employment with the main stakeholders and officers of the National Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force headed by the Minister of Labor and Foreign Employment, Mr. Manusha Nanayakkara.

For this, in the process of digitization, it is expected to include the biometric information of the workers who leave for foreign jobs used as a strategy to prevent human trafficking.

Through this, it is expected to curb human trafficking, which is carried out under the guise of foreign jobs.

It will also ensure the safety of the worker.

It also provides an opportunity to increase the safety of the migrant workers who are responsible for strengthening the country’s economy.
