Hettipola Angamuwa Magulagama Sri Sugatharama temple head Eluwapola Wangirathana thero (70) was beaten to death by a person yesterday.
The reason for this murder is the rape of an 8-year-old girl.
Police say that the monk was beaten to death by the girl’s father.
Investigations have also revealed that this monk has raped the girl for some time.
These sort of people should be treated like this.
This is the most appropriate punishment .
No one should take the law into his own hands regardless of the gravity of the offense. However when law and order has broken down this is the inevitable result
Is it because its OK in some religions? This is best punishment that can be meted out.
I hope and pray that the father will get only 2-3 years not 20🙏🏼
When Law fails this is the next best.
People are now realising what Services are being provided to the Public by the Buddhist Clergy. I believe very soon appropriate action will be delivered to these institutions and must say it has started now and is going on for the past few years,
Agents of evil should be punished by the authorities. But Sri Lankan system has showed the people a bad example taking the law into their hands. Media is to be blamed.
