Overtime and additional allowances of doctors and all other employees of the Ministry of Health have been cut by 15%.
According to the circular issued by the Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Mr. Janaka Sri Chandraguptha, under the management and control of public expenditure, overtime, and additional allowances will be cut by 15%.
Apart from this, the circular has instructed the heads of institutions to keep health offices other than hospitals to be closed on Sundays and to reduce the cost of security and cleaning by 10%.
It is also stated that the amount of holiday pay given to the executive grade officers of the Ministry of Health should be limited to 5 days per month.
