Due to postponing of the election, 3000 government employees have no salary or job for 03 months

A circular issued by the Ministry of Public Administration states that the candidates who are contesting the local government elections on unpaid leave will lose their jobs for three months due to the delay of the elections.

It also states that if the election is postponed, the candidate should be on unpaid leave for a period of three months from the date of submission of nominations.

The circular also states that the government employees can report back to their former place of work after three months have passed after submission of nominations.

It is also reported that nearly 3000 government employees are on leave without pay to contest this year’s local government elections.
