Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa says it is ridiculous to say that the government has enough money to have fun but does not have money to spend on elections.
Therefore, if the election is not held, the opposition leader emphasizes that the election will be achieved somehow through a democratic and peaceful struggle.
The leader of the opposition mentioned that even though the Rajapaksas were driven out using the struggle, the Rajapaksa shadow government, which is currently in operation, has abolished the democratic right of the people through various conspiracies.
He says that the Rajapaksa family system has put the country in this kind of abyss. For that reason, in 2005, the Red Brothers (JVP), who claim to be the solution to the country’s current crisis, supported the Rajapaksa and carried out the election campaign.
The opposition leader said that he himself Sajith Premadasa never worked to bring Rajapaksa to power even though they crowned the Rajapaksas who destroyed the country and that he always stands with the general public.

The opposition leader further said that with the victory in the upcoming elections, all the properties, wealth, and money stolen from our country will be brought back to the country and the thieves will be caught and a good and diverse governance will be implemented.
