Fifty-five people have died of the covid 19 virus yesterday (14).
Accordingly, the number of total covid deaths reported from Sri Lanka so far is 2615, said the Commander of the Army, General Shavendra Silva.
Of the 55 people killed yesterday, 44 were over 60 years old.
Today (15) 2,275 covid infected patients have been identified in the country. Health officials confirm that the number of covid infections have decreased after several days.
