A Mason was arrested for killing an elephant and trying to sell the tusks

A mason who was ready to sell two tusks obtained from killing an elephant for Rs. 5 million was arrested today (13) by a team of officers of the Central Anti-Corruption Task Force located in Walane, Panadura.

That was when the two tusks were brought to a temple in Puwakbowita, Bopavita, Akurassa to sell.

The suspect is a 43-year-old resident of Pitabeddara.

The officers of the Central Anti-Corruption Task Force, disguised as millionaire businessmen and riding in a luxury jeep, raided these two under the guise of preparing to buy them.
