The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has decided to increase the salaries of its employees by 25% with effect from January this year.
The employees of the Ceylon Electricity Board are entitled to a salary increase every three years and accordingly this salary increase will be effective until the year 2023.
The Ceylon Electricity Board had a net loss of Rs. 97 billion in 2019 and a net loss of Rs. 56 billion in 2020.
