A Member of Parliament Mr. AHM Fowzie took oath today in front of Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena Mahaka.
Mr. A. H. M. Fauci has sworn in the vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr. Mujibur Rahman, who was a member of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya party, for his candidacy for the position of mayor of the Colombo Municipal Council.
In the last general election, Mr. AHM Fowzie, who won 06 seats for Samagi Jana Balawega from Colombo district, was ranked 7th with 48,701 votes.
