The Director General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom says even though the number of covid patients around the world is decreasing, the number of deaths is at the same rate and no less.

More than 3.8 million people have died of covid 19 worldwide since the beginning of the epidemic.

The World Health Organization officials also revealed yesterday that Covid-19 was spreading faster than the rate of global vaccine distribution.

Transmission ratio of new varieties such as alpha and delta is increasingly attributable and they have shown more infectious.

“It means that the risk has increased for majority of the world’s population who are non-secure people,” said Tedros at a press conference held on Monday.
