The Government Information Department says that the gazette notice required for starting the local government election process has not yet been forwarded to the government printing press for printing the gazette.
The Director General of Government Information Mr. Dinith Karunaratne says that this gazette announcement will be issued with the signature of the Chairman and other members of the Election Commission.
