Complain if you have power cuts

The Public Utilities Commission is asking people to file a complaint if they face a power cut during the A/L examination.

Accordingly, complaints can be made by WhatsApp to 0775 687 387 or by fax to 0112 392 641.

Apart from this, complaints can also be forwarded through the e-mail address [email protected] and said that these complaints should be submitted in writing, Janaka Ratnayake said.

The Public Utilities Commission says that the CEB’s request cannot be accepted as the power cut on exam days is a violation of the rights of more than 300,000 students.

Meanwhile, the Ceylon Electricity Board says to continue the electricity demand management program.

It is also stated that the Ceylon Electricity Board informed the Public Utilities Commission yesterday (27) of this decision.

The advanced level examination held these days will be held until the 17th.
